do they really forget about you?

when people leave. do they really forget about you i wonder. i hope not (the eternal optimist in me wants to believe this). do you forget about them? most people that have taken my breathe away are always with me and will be forever. facing the suffering of loss, the pain can be unbearable at times but eventually you go in and out of missing the person and feeling the pain of their absence. we do have the choice of remembering them. this can never be taken away from us by anyone. one of the many aspects of life is the fact that people come into our lives and we get a sense of security that they are always going to be there but you blink and suddenly they are gone. it does hurt like hell and your heart may break into an infinite number of pieces. in time the emotional and mental scars may remain but you will heal from the pain eventually and hopefully start all over again. do not let it make you turn away from new people entering your life. you never know how important these new people may or will become to you.

“The truth of the matter is, people are always going to stay in our hearts, whether they are in our lives or not.” ~Manda~

“Truth is, everybody is going to hurt you; you just gotta find the ones worth suffering for.” ~Bob Marley~

How would you advise a person to move forward after suffering the loss of a loved one?
You have not lost him. He is still inside you giving you his love, wisdom and power. Be thankful that he was and is in your life. ~Yoko Ono~ 12/12/10
